If you are searching for a 369 method for website marketing, providers often give you slogans rather than a process. This article does the opposite: it describes what TRIUM's method contains, in which order the work runs and where its limits are. It does not change the method, it explains it, so you can judge whether it fits your business.

What the 369 Method is

The 369 Method is TRIUM Digital's structured approach to making small and medium-sized businesses in the DACH region visible online. It runs from the first analysis to the first measurable changes. Its opposite is the one-off measure: a new design here, a few keywords there, with nobody checking whether more enquiries arrive in the end.

The three numbers describe the structure itself. There are three pillars, six steps and a guide value of nine days. It has nothing to do with numerology. The numbers are a memory aid for a clear, scheduled process.

The 3 pillars: what a web presence has to achieve

A website that is supposed to bring in customers has three jobs. It has to be found, it has to move visitors to get in touch, and it has to keep customers after the first order. Those three jobs are the pillars.

Pillar 1: Visibility

This covers local SEO, the Google Business Profile, schema markup and, where needed, Google Ads. The aim is that your ideal customers find you when they actively search. More on the scope is on the page SEO agency Vienna.

Two points from primary sources help put this in context. According to Google Business Profile Help, relevance, distance and prominence determine local ranking, and "there's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google". That argues for a complete, accurately maintained profile, as described in optimising your Google Business Profile. And according to Google, structured data such as schema markup can enable rich results but does not guarantee them.

Pillar 2: Conversion

Visibility does little if the visitor leaves after three seconds. This pillar covers a website architecture built for enquiries, clear calls to action, lead capture and funnel optimisation. How TRIUM approaches this in web design is described under web design Vienna.

Two technical foundations belong here, and Google documents both. First, with mobile-first indexing Google uses the mobile version of a page for indexing and ranking, so the mobile page should contain the same content as the desktop version. Second, Google measures loading behaviour through the Core Web Vitals: Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint of 200 milliseconds or less and Cumulative Layout Shift of 0.1 or less, each measured at the 75th percentile of page loads.

Pillar 3: Relationship

This pillar starts where many projects end: after launch. It covers Care & Growth, newsletters, social media and systematic customer care, with recurring revenue as the goal. Support after go-live is described on the Care & Growth page.

The thinking behind it is sober. If you look after existing customers, you depend less on winning new enquiries from outside every single month.

The 6 steps in detail

The steps run in a fixed order. The durations are the method's guide values and depend on scope in each individual case.

StepDurationContent
1. Audit5 daysAnalysis of visibility, conversion levers, competition and market position
2. Demo1–2 daysPersonalised preview showing what the result will look like
3. Build14–21 daysWebsite, SEO setup, social media and tracking
4. Launch1 dayGo-live with performance monitoring from the first hour
5. OptimiseongoingA/B tests, conversion iterations, content adjustments
6. MaintainmonthlyPerformance reports, new content, security updates

Steps 1 and 2: Audit and demo

The audit measures first, before anything is built. It looks at your current visibility, the conversion levers, the competition and your market position. Five days is the guide value. The result is the basis for everything else and keeps work from being spent in the wrong place.

The demo follows directly. Instead of an abstract concept you see a personalised preview of what the result will look like. Why this step comes before the decision is explained in demo-first sales.

Steps 3 and 4: Build and launch

During the build, the website, SEO setup, social media and tracking take shape, as a guide value within 14 to 21 days. Tracking is part of it on purpose. Without measurement you cannot say later which measure achieved anything.

The launch takes one day, and monitoring starts in the first hour after go-live. This is when problems show up that were invisible before: a form that does not submit, a page that looks different on a smartphone than planned.

Steps 5 and 6: Optimise and maintain

Optimising is ongoing. It includes A/B tests, conversion iterations and content adjustments, each based on data from the tracking. Maintaining is the monthly rhythm afterwards, with performance reports, new content and security updates.

Neither step has an end date, and that is intended. A website that is never touched after launch goes stale. Google also stresses that content should be helpful, reliable and written primarily for people. That cannot be done once and forgotten.

The 9 days: what they mean and what they do not

After launch it typically takes about nine days until Google has picked up the new website and first changes in impressions, clicks and enquiries become visible. With Google Ads, first results can often be measured after only 24 to 48 hours. That is what the method states.

This number needs context. In its documentation on recrawling, Google says crawling can take "anywhere from a few days to a few weeks", and that a request does not guarantee a page will appear in search results instantly or even at all. So nine days is a guide value from the method, not a promise. Whether your site is picked up faster or slower depends on factors that nobody but Google fully knows.

It also matters what the nine days do not say. They describe first visible changes, not stable rankings and not a specific number of enquiries. How many enquiries are realistic depends on industry, city, competition, search volume and season. Enquiries per month for local SMEs offers some perspective on this.

How to tell whether your business fits the method

The method is meant for small and medium-sized businesses in the DACH region. These questions help with a self-assessment:

  • Is your website hard to find when customers search for your service and your location?
  • Do visitors arrive, but only few get in touch?
  • Is there no regular way to stay in contact with customers after the first order?
  • Do you want to be able to measure results instead of relying on a feeling?
  • Would you like to see a preview before you decide?

If several of these apply, the three-pillar structure is likely to help. For a first orientation without a conversation there is the free website check for SMEs.

When the 369 Method does not fit

No method fits everyone. To be honest, there are some situations where another route makes more sense.

  • You only need a single service. TRIUM offers its services individually. If you only want a Google Business Profile built out, a full process covering all three pillars is not strictly necessary.
  • You expect fixed rankings or enquiry numbers. Neither Google nor an agency can guarantee rankings. The method provides a process and measurability, not a guaranteed result.
  • You do not want ongoing support. Steps 5 and 6 are part of the method. Without them you are left with a project that has a start and an end.
  • Your market has little search demand. If few people search online for what you offer, visibility alone helps little. The audit should clarify that.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 369 Method?

It is TRIUM's structured approach to making SMEs in the DACH region visible online: three pillars (visibility, conversion, relationship), six steps (audit, demo, build, launch, optimise, maintain) and about nine days until first visible changes after launch.

How long does a project take under the 369 Method?

Guide values of the method: audit 5 days, demo 1–2 days, build 14–21 days, launch 1 day. Ongoing optimisation and monthly maintenance follow. The actual timeline depends on scope.

When will I see first results?

Typically about nine days after launch, first changes show up in impressions and clicks. That is a guide value. Google itself gives a crawling timeframe of a few days to a few weeks. With Google Ads, first results can often be measured after 24 to 48 hours.

Can I use only part of the method?

TRIUM's services can be booked individually. The full benefit of the method comes when visibility, conversion and relationship work together. Which parts make sense for you can be clarified in the initial call.

Who is the method meant for?

Small and medium-sized businesses in the DACH region, from solo therapists to trades, hospitality and online shops.

Does the number 369 have an esoteric meaning?

No. The numbers describe the structure: 3 pillars, 6 steps, 9 days as a guide value.
